Doctor Crushed by Elevator in Apartment Complex in India

A 39-year-old doctor died after being crushed by an elevator at an apartment complex in Sri Krishna Nagar, Qutbullapur, in Hyderabad, India, Medical Dialogues reported on April 14. The doctor was trying to retrieve a cricket ball from the elevator pit when the elevator accidentally activated. The elevator lowered on top of the man, causing severe head injuries, killing him on impact. Police arrived promptly after receiving an alert and have begun investigating. The accident is part of a rise in elevator-related fatalities in Hyderabad.
