EECO Honored With Wayne County Area Chamber Award

Elevator Equipment Corp. (EECO) was honored with the “Achievement In Excellence — Large Business” award from the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce in Richmond, Indiana. EECO Richmond General Manager Joseph Gibbs accepted the award from Chamber President Melissa Vance during a televised gala on January 19 at Richmond’s Kuhlman Center attended by approximately 650 guests. Founded in California in 1946, EECO launched its Richmond location in 1973 with a 30-ft bay and a handful of employees. Today, the manufacturing facility has grown into a 160,000-ft2 operation with 100 employees. Part of the Hyperion Group of Companies, EECO manufactures elevator equipment for OEMs and independents and has a portfolio that ranges from complex jacks to one-stop home elevators.
