Elevator Repairs Underway at Vernon, Canada, Car Park

Work to upgrade a pair of elevators at a parking garage in Vernon, Canada, began on April 1, with the CAD200,000 (US$160,000) project expected to wrap up in mid-June, the Lake Country Calendar reported on March 31.  The project is considered a much-needed initiative to repair the two lifts. Motorists will continue to have access to the north stairway, but the west stairwell will be closed from time to time. All accessible parking stalls located on the main floor will remain unaffected.
