“Top-of-the-line Mitsubishi Electric elevators open onto each floor with direct connections to the terraces, greeting residents with natural light and dramatic views of Nashville” at Alcove, a 34-story, 419-ft-tall residential tower designed by Goettsch Partners (GP) and now complete at 900 Church Street in downtown Nashville, Tennessee, the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat reported on August 4. GP Senior Project Designer Vladimir Andrejevic said that, at certain points, people step off an elevator and immediately overlook the city. Developed by Giarrantana LLC, Alcove is adjacent to the 17-acre, Amazon-anchored Nashville Yards development and has a striking, shifting cube design that mimics Amazon boxes. It offers 356 apartments of various sizes, an array of amenities and four 75-ft-tall alcoves in which residents can work and socialize. Cypress, California-headquartered Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc. opened its Nashville office in 2021 to support elevator installation at both Alcove and its neighbor tower — the 38-story Prime, also on Church Street.
