Escalator Repair Begins in Ukraine

Major repairs to an escalator at the Khreshchatyk metro station in Kyiv, Ukraine will begin soon, UNN reports. The scheduled repairs were announced by the Kyiv City State Administration and were said to last until June. The escalator, leading to the Alley of Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, will have all major components dismantled and repaired, including the staircase, handrails, gearbox and traction chains.
