Chennai, India-headquartered Elite Elevators has announced the launch of the E50 stairlift in India, Construction Week reports. Aimed at elevating the quality of independent living, the stairlift features unique advanced swiveling and leveling technology that enables it to operate in one fluid motion. E50 is engineered in Germany and manufactured in Italy and is TÜV SÜD- and SIL 3-certified. It is designed to fit all types of staircases, including straight, curved, steep, half-turn and spiral. It can accommodate staircases as slim as 610 mm, making it suitable for a wide range of architectural configurations. E50 operates on a battery-powered system that ensures uninterrupted service during power outages. The system includes seven layers of safety protection: an emergency-stop and lowering button, armrest detection, fold-away joystick, call service, seatbelt detection, indicator lamps and an anti-squeeze mechanism in the chair and footrest. Elite Elevators CEO Vimal Babu said E50 “sets a new benchmark for stairlifts and reaffirms our commitment to improving lives.”
