The elevator and escalator division of Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc., headquartered in Cypress, California, hosted its second annual charity golf tournament benefitting Folds of Honor and the Warrior Dog Foundation on November 10 at Strawberry Farms Golf Club in Irvine, California. Hosting nearly 150 MEUS business partners, vendors and employee volunteers, the event raised US$60,000 through sponsorships, registrations, donations and matching funding from the Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation. Jarrad Jones, Southern California MEUS branch manager, said everyone was excited to “pick up where we left off” after the 2020 event was canceled due to pandemic restrictions. Each charity will receive US$30,000. Folds of Honor provides educational scholarships to families of U.S. military men and women who have fallen or been disabled while on active duty. The Warrior Dog Foundation provides mental and physical rehabilitation to retired military working dogs so they can be rehomed.
