Hyundai Elevator Volunteer Work Focused on ESG

On June 12, approximately 30 Hyundai Elevator employees gathered to participate in volunteer work protecting the natural environment at Binae Island, Chungju, South Korea, a government-designated inland wetland area. Prior to the day, Hyundai Elevator held thorough pre-education sessions. Employees then removed invasive species like Japanese brome and mile-a-minute weed. In addition, they participated in trash collection and sorting to combat plastic pollution, the official theme for this year’s Environment Day. These efforts are part of Hyundai Elevator’s ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) management initiatives. The company continues biodiversity preservation with events such as a fishing competition at Chungju Lake to eliminate invasive fish species like bass and bluegill. A Hyundai Elevator spokesperson said, “Even though it was a small act, we felt a sense of accomplishment knowing it helped the local environment,” emphasizing, “We will continue to actively collaborate to ensure the community’s ecosystem remains healthy.”
