IEES To Explore the Future of VT Safety From Many Angles

The program for this year’s International Elevator & Escalator Symposium (IEES), planned on December 11-12 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is now available, showing the symposium theme, “The Future of Vertical-Transportation (VT) Safety,” will be explored from many different angles by experts including engineers, CEOs, labor leaders, government officials and many more from all over the world. Representatives of associations, consultancies, leading independent VT companies, top educational institutions, international technology providers and law firms are among those scheduled to present. Over two days, presentations by speakers from countries including Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Israel, Singapore, the Netherlands and the U.S. will delve into topics including working with government agencies, codes and standards, specific components’ role in safety, remote monitoring, accident prevention, AI, robotics and the implications of legal reforms. Presentations will be capped off by an expert panel moderated by Liftinstituut Managing Director John Van Vliet on the symposium theme. Panelists are Fujitec Argentina President Ernesto Espoille, Mercosul Lift Association (Brazil) President Fábio Eduardo Becker, Dynasty Elevator (U.S.) President John Mezzo and European Federation for Elevator Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (Belgium) President Massimo Bezzi.
