Mumbai, India-headquartered Saint-Gobain Gyproc, a market leader in building construction, recently announced it has partnered with India’s largest professional networking platform, Apna.co, “to reduce the skills gap and help increase the hiring of a skilled workforce efficiently in India.” Saint-Gobain Gyproc, whose solutions include a lift shaft wall installation process, observed the need for skilled professionals is increasing, with nearly 4,000 jobs — including ones in vertical transportation — advertised on Apna.co each day. Between September 1 and October 27, 2022, approximately 200,000 manufacturing and construction jobs were added to the platform. “At present, [the company] has around 8,000 business partners in India,” Saint-Gobain Gyproc stated. “With this joint venture, the company is looking forward to creating 2,000 more job opportunities for skilled professionals across the country.”
