Global business magazine Industry Era has recognized CEDES AG CEO Patrick Bass as one of its Top 10 Admired Leaders of 2024. Bass came to the CEO role from starting his career as a field mechanic. Through hands-on experience and direct interaction with customers, Bass gained valuable insight into the impact of product failures on businesses and personal mobility. “His background as a systems engineer influenced his perspective, viewing everything as a system,” the profile continued. Today, as leader of Switzerland-headquartered CEDES, Bass is guiding the company — which introduced game-changing products to the elevator industry such as light curtains and 3D camera sensors — as it embarks on a digital transformation journey. Bass is leading the charge as the electronics hardware manufacturer transitions from a manufacturing-as-a-service provider to an Internet of Things-driven solutions company. Bass, the publication pointed out, strives to understand CEDES dynamics through active engagement with teams at all levels.
