Inpro Earns Zero-Waste Certification From SCS Global Services

Inpro®, the Muskego, Wisconsin, provider of architectural products including for elevator interiors, announced on June 23 it has achieved Zero-Waste Program Certification from SCS Global Services for diverting 63.99% of waste from landfills. To achieve this, Inpro formed several tactical action committee teams to evaluate waste streams across its operations. Teams conducted a comprehensive analysis of waste generation, recycling rates and landfill diversion. Through this process, Inpro identified opportunities for improvement including partnering with local recycling facilities on new waste diversion opportunities, reformulating products to incorporate internally recycled scrap materials and refining manufacturing processes to minimize excess waste and optimize efficiency. Inpro Environmental & Technical Project Specialist Jess Jenkins said achieving the certification “underscores our dedication to reducing our environmental impact.”
