Interstate Elevator Merged Into MEI-Total Elevator Solutions

(l-r) Jake Poteete, Jeff Eaton and Bryan Ball

Topeka, Kansas-based Interstate Elevator, Inc., has been merged into MEI-Total Elevator Solutions, headquartered in Mankato, Minnesota, Lift Business Advisors owner/director Jeff Eaton announced in July. Lift Business Advisors acted as advisor to Interstate Elevator in negotiations leading up to the deal, finalized in May. Established in 2004, Interstate “has prospered through the combined efforts of co-owners Bryan Ball and Jake Poteete,” becoming a leading independent service provider in eastern Kansas and the state capitol, Eaton said. Interstate President Ball is retiring, while Poteete will continue to play a key role in the combined business. “Jessica [Hellman] and Jeff [Eaton] capably led us along each step of the selling process, and we are very happy to be moving forward in partnership with MEI,” Ball said.
