Italian Components Distributor Donati Acquires Elvacenter

Donati S.p.A., a distributor of elevator and escalator components headquartered in Milan, Italy, announced on January 14 it has acquired Elvacenter, a company active in Belgium and the Netherlands. The acquisition consolidates Donati’s leadership position in Europe with more than 16,000 items in stock and 5,000 customers, achieving more than EUR38 million (US$28.7 million) in aggregated revenue. “The acquisition of Elvacenter is another important step toward the internationalization of Donati, which is simultaneously growing its branches in Germany and France,” major shareholder of Donati and Senior Partner of EOS Investment Management Gianni Galasso said. “With direct entry into the Belgian and Dutch markets through an already well-positioned operator, Donati accelerates its geographical expansion in Europe.”
