Huntington-headquartered Jensten, a fast-growing U.K. insurance broker, on April 24 announced its intention to acquire lift and escalator specialist broker Robert Gerrard & Co Ltd, based in London. Subject to regulatory approval, the deal will incorporate 19 employees and an office in Chingford. Robert Gerrard Managing Director (MD) Carla Preston will continue to lead the team, reporting to Jensten Schemes and Affinities MD Simon Henderson. Among Robert Gerrard’s extensive range of tailored insurance policies is its Lift Plan, which provides a “comprehensive coverage unmatched in the lift and escalator industry,” according to Jensten. The announcement builds on Jensten’s 2024 momentum and brings it closer to reaching £1 billion in premiums, Jensten CEO Alistair Hardie said.
