KONE President and CEO Henrik Ehrnrooth spent a week in India recently, visiting with KONE team members including Managing Director (MD) Amit Gossain and customers at various sites, Ehrnrooth said on LinkedIn. At KONE India in Hyderabad, South Region employees hosted Ehrnrooth and Gossain over two days. KONE South India and Sri Lanka Regional Director Ravindran S said the visit provided “amazing insights on business and reemphasized KONE’s vision, culture and expectations.” While in Hyderabad, Ehrnrooth gave a speech providing an elevator industry overview and sharing market strategies. He also heard from customers about their changing needs. Ehrnrooth praised the KONE India factory as a “model of Lean operations and consistent high quality” that is poised to become a global supply hub for the OEM. “A lot has changed in India since my last visit in 2019, but the energy, vibrancy and opportunity are as strong as ever,” Ehrnrooth said. “India’s growth potential is outstanding right now.”
