KONE Denmark Hospital Order Includes 40 Elevators

KONE will provide an array of vertical-transportation solutions, including 40 elevators, to the new North Zealand Hospital in North Zealand, Denmark. The order includes 12 MonoSpace® 700 DX and 28 TransysTM freight elevators, as well as the E-LinkTM monitoring system and 24/7 Connected Services. KONE will also provide one year of standard maintenance. Slated to become an integral part of the business and residential area of Favrholm on Overdrevsvejen south of Hillerød in the Capital Region, the Herzog & de Meuron-designed facility is expected to treat approximately 50,000 patients annually. The general contractor is NCC and the project is slated for completion in 2025, although some of the KONE elevators will be used during construction.
