KONE Promotes Gonzalez to SVP New Equipment Americas

KONE announced on December 2 that Steve Gonzalez has been promoted to senior vice president (SVP), New Equipment Business, Americas, joining the KONE Americas leadership team based in Lisle, Illinois. In this role, Gonzalez oversees all new construction sales and field operations, with additional oversight in major projects and project management development. He continues strong collaboration with the R&D and Supply Line departments to optimize full chain performance. Gonzalez has 15 years’ industry experience working at KONE as the Major Projects Unit director for the Americas and leading project management development for the Major Projects team. He also brings more than 10 years’ engineering, sales and management experience with Honeywell International and the Trane Co. He holds a BS in engineering from the University of Michigan. Gonzalez reports directly to KONE Americas EVP Ken Schmid.
