KONE Providing 256 VT Units for Chongqing Metro Line 10

In the third quarter of 2022, KONE booked an order to provide 256 vertical-transportation (VT) units to phase two of Chongqing Metro Line 10 in China. The order includes 18 MonoSpace® and 10 MiniSpaceTM elevators, as well as 228 TransitMasterTM escalators. The contract also includes two years of standard maintenance. Slated for completion in June, phase two spans nearly 10 km, starting at Liyuchi Station and ending at Lanhua Road with seven underground and one elevated stations. The project is being developed by Chongqing Rail Transit (Group) Co. Ltd., with Chongqing Monorail Engineering Co. Ltd. as general contractor and Beijing Urban Construction Design and Research Institute Co. Ltd. as lead architect.
