KONE Wins Order for New World’s Tallest Residential Building

KONE Corp. has won an order to provide a suite of People Flow® solutions for the world’s tallest residential structure, called Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co. Residences. KONE’s order comprises next-generation high-rise technology, including 16 KONE Minispace DX elevators with a top speed of 10 m/s, as well as KONE UltraRope® super-light hoisting technology for lower energy consumption and reduced carbon emissions. Rising more than 100 stories in Dubai’s Business Bay area, the Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co. Residences is being constructed in partnership with Dubai-based property developer Binghatti and jewelry company Jacob & Co. The developer is real estate firm Binghatti Holding Ltd., and the main contractor is Granada Europe Engineering Construction LLC. The architectural design was done by Silver Stone Engineering Consultants. KONE booked the order in Q3 of 2024. Upon completion in 2027, it will surpass the height of the current record holder for the tallest residential-only building, Central Park Tower in NYC.
