Transport for London and the Battersea Power Station Development Co. are working to open a new entrance with two escalators at the Battersea Power Station (BPS) Tube station, in Battersea, London, by spring 2025, the South London Press reports. Opening alongside the new Nine Elms Tube station when the Northern Line was extended to Battersea in fall 2021, the BPS station in Battersea Park Road was designed to allow a future second entrance under an office block on Electric Boulevard. Providing a “more direct link” to the BPS, the new entrance is part of a 42-acre riverside development that will boast homes, stores, bars, restaurants, office and nearly 20 acres of public space.
