Mitsubishi Elevator (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (MET), a leader in elevator and escalator solutions, has reaffirmed its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) with the handover of a new library and computer room at Ban Phakhao Phonphaeng School in the Sakon Nakhon Province in Bangkok, Thailand, the Bangkok Post reports. MET empowers employees to nominate schools in need of improvements in their hometowns through the Hometown School Development Project, which is now in its 15th year. The construction of the new facility was funded by MET along with contributions from employees and business partners. The building was designed by students from the International Program in Design and Architecture at Chulalongkorn University. The initiative extended beyond the facility donation, incorporating a robe-offering ceremony, distribution of educational supplies and the installation of solar panels for enhanced energy efficiency. Additionally, trees were planted under MET’s environmental initiative, One Lift You Need, One Seed We Plant.
