Metro Elevator, a New York State-certified, service disabled veteran-owned business headquartered in Manhattan, was recently contracted to modernize 14 elevators for the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corp. (BNYDC), Metro Elevator President Ryan Kraven announced. In addition to modernizing elevators serving Buildings 3, 5 and 280 in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, the project includes upgrading the buildings’ electrical, structural and security systems. Kraven said his company is proud to partner with BNYDC in the “development of manufacturing and commercial space that anchors the industrial sector, contributes to the preservation of high-quality jobs for the community and supports continued economic growth for NYC.”
