A 45-year-old milkman died after falling down an elevator shaft in a residential building in Mumbra, Thane, India, the Hindustan Times reports. The police have registered an accidental death report in the matter. The man was a resident of Chand Nagar in Mumbra, and he was delivering milk. His family reported him missing in the afternoon, and he was found at the base of an elevator shaft after a search. He was declared “brought dead” at the hospital. “Preliminary investigation shows that there is nothing suspicious in this matter. It might be that he opened the door of the lift before the lift arrived and fell into the duct,” police officials said.
