NAESA International Hosting Events in Puerto Rico in August

NAESA International is hosting two upcoming events in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The first is the Elevator Code Association (ECA) 101 course on August 20. This course is designed to deliver a basic familiarization with codes, guides and reference material pertaining to people and material lifting devices. The 101 class will not provide in-depth knowledge of codes and guides or precisely how to navigate them; instead, its intended purpose is to familiarize individuals with elevator codes. This class is geared toward those who are new to vertical-transportation codes. The second event is the Code Compliance Seminar on August 21, which will focus on the information and changes on the latest editions of the following codebooks: 2020 Elevator Industry Field Employees’ Safety Handbook; QEI-1 2024 Standard for the Qualification of Elevator Inspectors; “How to Use” A17.2 Guide for Inspectors of Elevators, Escalators and Moving Walks; ASME A17.1 Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators-Section 8.11.2 Periodic Inspection 8.11.2 for Electric Elevators; NFPA 13 & 72-; and the International Building Code (IBC) – 2018. Registration for both events can be found the on the NAESA website.
