NEII DEI Team Attends Tradeswomen Build Nations Conference

Members of the National Elevator Industry, Inc.’s (NEII) diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) team attended the annual North America’s Building Trades Unions Tradeswomen Build Nations conference in Washington, D.C., on December 1-3. Almost 4,000 tradeswomen gathered for the three-day conference, which featured two plenary sessions, a banner parade in the heart of the nation’s capital and a dozen workshops. NEII commented that learning from the women of the International Union of Elevator Constructors makes its efforts to welcome and empower women in the elevator industry more meaningful. Recordings of the conference’s plenary session are available online. The 2024 Tradeswomen Build Nations conference will take place in New Orleans on September 24-27.
