The 80-story, 1,038-ft-tall supertall office building One Brickell City Centre in Miami’s Brickell Financial District has been unanimously approved by Miami City Commissioners, Florida YIMBY reports. Designed by Arquitectonica and developed by Hong Kong-based Swire Properties and NYC’s Related Cos., the tower is set to break ground in early 2023 at 700 Brickell Avenue after two aging mid-rise office buildings are demolished. In a strong Miami office market, One Brickell City Centre will distinguish itself with floorplates ranging from 40,000-60,000 ft2 — the largest ever approved in Miami. Observing it has been developing on Brickell Key for 40 years, Swire has also agreed to build a permanent fire station in the area, underscoring its role as a “committed partner to the City of Miami.”
