A custom carbon fiber lift from Opulent Lifts, manufactured in the U.K. by a company of the same name, was showcased at the 34th edition of the METSTRADE marine equipment trade show in Amsterdam on November 14-17, Opulent Lifts Business Development Director Alister Bennett tells ELEVATOR WORLD. The elevator was part of a booth Opulent hosted with business partner Holland Marine Lift, and will be installed at Holland’s Rotterdam offices. “So far, we have had a great reaction from the shipyards, all of whom can see the value of the weight savings on their superyachts,” Bennett said. An Opulent Lifts lift cabin weighs approximately 42 kg. The world’s largest marine equipment tradeshow, METSTRADE drew more than 1,400 exhibitors from over 50 countries, including Italy’s Bertazzoni Lift Marine and the Netherlands’ Lift Emotion BV, to the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre.
