For the second consecutive year, Farmington, Connecticut-headquartered Otis is among 324 companies recognized as one of the World’s Most Admired Companies by Fortune magazine, Otis announced on February 2. Based on an evaluation by more than 3,700 business leaders and industry analysts, the list ranks companies within their respective industries using nine key attributes. Only the highest-ranked companies made the final list from a starting group of 650 businesses based in 27 countries. Moving up 13 spots to No. 226 this year, Otis’ high marks in the industrial machinery category were attributed to quality of management, products and services. “I couldn’t be prouder of our colleagues around the globe for their dedication and contributions that make a recognition like this possible,” Otis Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer Abbe Luersman said.
