Otis colleagues Whitni Wilson-Wertz, Erin Scott and Nikki Moore were honored on October 8 at the Women of Color STEM Conference in Detroit. Wilson-Wertz was presented with a Special Recognition Award in the competitive, peer-reviewed category; Scott was recognized as a Technology All Star and Moore as a Technology Rising Star. Otis Executive Director of North America Operations Rob Gokey, who presented the award to Wilson-Wertz, described her as a “tremendous role model for all of us at Otis” who is passionate about diversity, equity and inclusion and science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) programs. Recognizing the significant contributions of women in STEM fields, the awards have been presented annually since 1995 in conjunction with Women of Color magazine.
