Otis Earns EcoVadis Gold Sustainability Rating

For the second consecutive year, Otis earned a gold rating from EcoVadis, the global sustainability rating platform, Otis announced on October 5. Ranking among the top 5% of all assessed companies, Otis said it will continue to use EcoVadis’ universal scorecard platform as a “guidepost to help our customers see our progress.” The platform uses more than 20 criteria to measure a company’s commitment to sustainability based on continuous improvement across four corporate social responsibility and sustainability areas: environment, labor practices and human rights, fair business practices and sustainable procurement. Otis established its 13 environmental, social and governance (ESG) goals in 2021, focusing on health and safety, environment and impact, people and communities, and governance and accountability. “This rating represents the global efforts of our colleagues to help people, societies and environments thrive today and into the future,” Otis Senior Director of ESG Susan Lester observed.
