Otis Germany recently signed a service contract with EKK plus, a procurement vendor for municipal hospitals, making it the third contract between the two companies for service of elevator systems, Otis announced in April. For the past three years, Otis Germany has serviced the elevators at hospitals in Ludwigshafen and Wolfsburg, and EKK plus recently solicited bids for a third hospital in Ravensburg. Otis Germany submitted a combined proposal and won the contract to service elevators at all three hospitals — more than 130 units in all — through the end of 2023. According to the announcement, Otis is committed to keeping critical infrastructure such as healthcare facilities up and running during the global pandemic, so doctors, nurses, staff, patients and visitors move safely and efficiently.
