Otis’ Marks One of Two New Caterpillar Independent Directors

Judy Marks, chair, CEO and president of Otis Worldwide Corp., is one of two new independent members of the Board of Directors (BoD) of Caterpillar Inc., a global manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, engines, turbines and locomotives based in Irving, Texas, Caterpillar announced on February 1. Joining Marks on the Caterpillar BoD is Waste Management President and CEO Jim Fish Jr. Marks will serve on Caterpillar’s Audit and Compensation & Human Resources committees, while Fish will serve on the Audit and Sustainability & Other Public Policy committees. Welcoming “leaders of such high caliber” to the BoD, Caterpillar Chairman and CEO Jim Umpleby said: “With Judy’s leadership of services growth and digital transformation at Otis and Jim’s leadership in developing sustainable solutions, Caterpillar is well-positioned to help our customers build a better, more-sustainable world and deliver long-term, profitable growth.”
