On April 6, Farmington, Connecticut-headquartered Otis published its 2022 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report, highlighting alignment with the global OEM’s strategic operating imperatives of sustaining new equipment growth, accelerating service portfolio growth, advancing Otis’ digitalization and focusing/empowering the organization. The report outlines progress made toward the company’s 13 ESG goals outlined in Otis’ key pillars: Health & Safety, Environment & Impact, People & Communities and Governance & Accountability. Highlights from the report include, in Health & Safety, expanding the employee assistance program to cover 100% of Otis colleagues globally; in Environment & Impact, reducing Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 4.8% versus 2021 and 11% from the company’s 2019 baseline; in People & Communities, increasing female executive representation from 36% in 2021 to 39.2% in 2022, putting Otis on a path to executive gender parity by 2030; and in Governance & Accountability, linking executive short-term incentive compensation to ESG goal performance.
