Otis has secured a contract to modernize 18 elevators at Saudi National Bank (SNB) headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Otis President and CEO Judy Marks announced during an earnings call on October 25. As part of the modernization, Otis will upgrade controllers in the high-rise units while adding the Otis ONETM Internet of Things service solution. The contract builds on Otis’ existing relationship with SNB headquarters, served by a total of 47 Otis units, including the Compass 360® destination-dispatch system. Otis has held the maintenance contract on the building’s vertical-transportation system since 2021. With an “innovative three-dimensional façade” designed by architect Foster + Partners, the 40-story tower is located in the heart of Riyadh’s King Abdullah Financial District.
