Otis Women’s Network, one of the company’s employee resource groups, is partnering with Tommy’s, a major U.K. charity focused on research into pregnancy loss and premature birth, on the world’s first London Landmarks Skyscraper Challenge in September. The fundraising event combines running up 42 floors of the Cheesegrater (the Leadenhall Building) before either a 200-m rappel down the Cheesegrater or a zipwire across the London skyline into the Gherkin at 30 St. Mary Axe. Andy Bierer, Otis market group lead U.K. and Nordics and managing director of Otis U.K., plans to take part alongside a team that includes Carlos Torres Mansilla, Alex Box and Lilla Balint. The team has set a goal to raise GBP5,000 (US$6,366) to support the work of Tommy’s and save babies’ lives. Bierer provides a short description of the upcoming event here.
