A 155-m, 30-story tower and a 60-m tower are set to be built on a 0.8-ha site near the west exit of Tokyo’s Shibuya Station, which handles commuter traffic between the city center and southern and western suburbs, Japan Property Central reports. The towers are part of the Dogenzaka 2 Chome South District redevelopment plan, for which the Tokyo Metropolitan Government approved formation of a redevelopment committee. The taller tower will house office and retail space, while the shorter one will have a hotel and stores, with a fourth-floor connection to the nearby Shibuya Mark City tower. The site currently houses seven structures built in the 1960s and 1970s.
