Redevelopment of Jaipur Railway Station Underway
Indian Railways (IR) is working to redevelop the Jaipur railway station in the North Western Railway zone. The project is being executed in phases under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Construction of a concourse to connect the main entrance and the second entrance of the station is in progress, and façade and basement parking work is nearly complete. Two new foot overbridges are being built. Once complete, the Jaipur railway station will have a lobby, security check area, retail stalls, modular toilets, stairs and vertical-transportation equipment. Thirty elevators and 18 escalators are planned to allow for smooth movement at the station.
