Shanghai Mitsubishi Signs Deal to Localize Elevator Production in Uzbekista

Shanghai Mitsubishi Elevator has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Texnopark, Trend News Agency reports. The deal calls for Shanghai Mitsubishi to produce 500 elevators in Uzbekistan from 2025-2028. Texnopark is a member of the Uzbekistan Electrical Industry Association and operates a state-of-the-art elevator manufacturing facility with an annual capacity of 4,000 units. The deal is part of Uzbekistan’s initiative to enhance the competitiveness of its manufacturing sector and is a milestone in the country’s overall industrial development.
