U.K.’-based Shorts has announced a new partnership with Metron, one of Europe’s fastest-growing lift manufacturers. Based in Greece, Metron is known for designing and producing high-quality, value-for-money passenger lifts that combine modern aesthetics with proven engineering performance. As Metron’s official U.K. partner, Shorts will manage import logistics and duties, simplifying procurement for lift companies. Customers will also benefit from U.K.-based technical support, ensuring faster response times, with additional assistance available from Metron’s engineering team in Greece when required. To further support U.K. installers and maintainers, Shorts will stock a wide range of Metron spare parts in its Bradford warehouse. This will reduce lift downtime by removing the need to wait for parts to be shipped from Europe. Shorts has worked with Metron for many years, particularly in sourcing lift doors for modernization projects. The new partnership expands that cooperation to include complete passenger lift packages, combining Metron’s manufacturing excellence with Shorts’ deep understanding of U.K. market needs. Founded in 1995, Metron has grown from a small manufacturer in northern Greece to a global brand supplying complete lift systems to more than 50 countries.
