Six LCD Elevators for Residential Tower in Brooklyn’s Alloy Block
Richie Clark, owner of LCD Elevator Repair, Inc., headquartered in Mineola, New York, tells ELEVATOR WORLD the company is providing six elevators for 100 Flatbush Avenue, a 44-story residential building designed and developed by Alloy Development in the Alloy Block multitower complex in Downtown Brooklyn, NYC. David Regiec is project manager and the general contractor is Urban Atelier Group. The system includes three 3500-lb capacity overhead traction Hollister-Whitney (HW) units with Imperial machines. There are two 3500-lb capacity, inline HW gearless machine-room-less units with HW machines. In addition, the tower is served by a 4500-lb capacity, MEI holeless roped hydraulic elevator. Suppliers include MCE (controllers), Monitor (fixtures), EDI/ECI (entrances and cabs) and GAL (door equipment). New York YIMBY reported in October that construction on 100 Flatbush Avenue had reached the halfway point, with topping out anticipated in early 2023.
