Members of the Terry Lifts team participated in Disability Awareness Day – DAD 2023 as an event sponsor. Now in its 32nd year, this year’s event was held on July 16 at Walton Hall and Gardens in Warrington, U.K., and promoted independent living through the theme – “It’s what disabled people can do that matters.” DAD 2023 welcomed visitors from across the region and further afield. Alongside family entertainment, a sports zone and arts marquee, visitors met and engaged with approximately 200 exhibitors, equipment suppliers and transport, holiday, leisure, employment and support groups and services. Terry Lifts National Sales Manager Steve Hill alongside Reece, Helen and Bob from the sales and marketing teams joined forces to celebrate the fun-filled family day and offer advice and guidance on the company’s lifts – including the Harmony, Harmony FE and Melody 1 vertical platform lift. Disability Awareness Day – DAD is the world’s largest nonprofit voluntary-led pan-disability exhibition held annually. DAD allows visitors to gain insight into the help and support available locally, regionally and nationally from statutory organizations, businesses and voluntary sector groups.
