Three new flyovers with escalator systems are being constructed to ease traffic congestion and to provide safe road crossing for pedestrians at East Fort in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India, On Manorama reports. The High Court has directed the construction of flyovers at three locations: in the Attakulangara region, at the KSRTC depot to Gandhi Park and in front of the Pazhavangady Ganapathy Temple. The flyovers are being constructed based on recommendations in a report submitted by the National Transportation Planning and Research Center (Natpac). Natpac has also recommended the installation of handrails and the relocation of roadside vendors to enhance pedestrian safety and reduce congestion.
