Three Workers Die When Freight Elevator Collapsed in Italy
Three workers died when a freight elevator collapsed in the Vomero neighborhood of Naples, Italy on July 25, Agenzia Nova reports. According to initial reports, the workers were operating the elevator on the sixth floor during renovation work on the building when the lifting system suddenly failed. The collapse caused a vertical fall that killed the three workers on impact. Labor inspectors and authorities are investigating the cause of the failure.
