TKE Canada Doubles VT Service Footprint for Retailer

TK Elevator (TKE) Canada has expanded its service footprint on vertical-transportation (VT) systems at supermarket Loblaws’ locations in Canada, TKE has announced. Lowblas, headquartered in Brampton, Ontario, has more than 2,400 stores across the country. In 2017, TKE supported 139 elevators and escalators but now provides service and maintenance on more than twice that many units, the company said. It has been expanding its service footprint throughout Canada; earlier this year, TKE purchased City Elevator, a VT service and maintenance provider in the Metro Vancouver area. The OEM also recently acquired three service companies in Ontario: Bay Elevator, Direct Elevator and True Canadian Elevator Maintenance Co. Growth in the Greater Toronto Area led TKE Canada to open a new branch this year, Toronto South. “TK Elevator is proud to partner with a respected industry leader like Loblaws and looks forward to keeping their elevators and escalators safely operating at additional locations,” said Kevin Lavallee, TKE North America president and CEO.
