TKE Expands Canadian Presence with trio of Acquisitions

TKE expanded its reach in Canada with the acquisition of three Ontario companies specializing in elevator modernization, service and repair: Bay Elevator Ltd. of North Bay, Direct Elevator Service Ltd. of Barrie and True Canadian Elevator Maintenance Co. of Etobicoke, the company announced on May 26. The move brings more than 100 new employees to TKE, which TKE Canada President and CEO Blaine Coupal says promises to “add depth to our current organization, as well as strengthen our support for new and existing customers.” TKE also observed it transformed its engineering center in Scarborough into the International Technical Services Centre (ITSC). Millions of dollars were invested in the ITSC to add engineering phone and onsite support, technical training and documentation, diagnostic tools, board and drive repair and new product support. ITSC also provides services for competitors’ equipment.
