TKE Sustainability Expert to Participate in Conference Roundtable

Miller Brown

TK Elevator (TKE) Senior Sustainability Manager Monica Miller Brown plans to participate in a roundtable discussion on embodied carbon in steel on November 3 at the Greenbuild International Conference + Expo at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. The roundtable, “Heavy Metal: Embodied Carbon in Steel,” will address the opportunities and challenges of working inside supply chains to understand embodied carbon in products heavily based in steel. The panel will examine the vast differences in how steel is manufactured and the embodied carbon impact of each approach. Successes and failures of integrating sustainability practices into the supply chain will be discussed, with TKE highlighting the many steps it has taken to address climate change.
