Former TK Elevator (TKE) Canada CEO Blain Coupal has been promoted to executive vice president, field, North America, and 25-year industry veteran Gary Medeiros is new CEO in Canada, TKE announced on February 23. A native of Toronto, Medeiros comes to his new position after holding various senior management roles at TKE Canada, most recently vice president, central region. Medeiros is credited with facilitating product line growth, strengthening key relationships and exceeding aggressive sales goals. Under Medeiros’ leadership, TKE became the first elevator company in Ontario to receive the Certificate of Recognition from the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association. Together, Coupal and Medeiros led to “TKE Canada dominating market share as it expanded its modernization and service footprint across all provinces.” In his new role, Coupal is overseeing all field operations in the U.S. and Canada, including new installations, modernizations and service. He is a native of Calgary and a 19-year veteran of TKE, starting his career as district manager. Prior to becoming Canada CEO in November 2018, Coupal was regional vice president of Canada’s Prairie Region.
