Two FoBs With Escalators Planned for Shahibaug

The Ahmedabad Municipal Corp. (AMC) will build two pedestrian overbridges with escalators in Shahibaug, Ahmedabad, India, The Times of India reports. One foot overbridge (FoB) will be located over the road at the Camp Hanuman Temple cantonment gate. AMC and army officials met several times to discuss the area’s “sensitive” nature due to the surrounding defense establishments before the 5.3-m high and 24-m long overbridge was approved. The second FoB will connect Rajasthan Hindi Medium School to Swaminarayan Complex on Ambedkar Road. The total projected cost of the project is Rs 4.7 crore (US$ 51.7 million).
