The council in Croydon, South London, recently received plans from developer Greystar to build 47- and 35-story towers that include nearly 800 flats, office space, retail and greenspace designed by HTA Design at One Lansdowne Road, London News Online reports. The site had already been approved for a pair of 68- and 41-story towers, and public consultations held in the spring revealed the new public greenspace — in the form of a public square — was particularly welcomed. The plan also includes a new pedestrian crossing for Wellesley Road, a cinema, a gym and lounges. “We are really grateful to the local community for sharing feedback on our plans and helping ensure we can bring forward this new landmark for Croydon,” Greystar Managing Director of U.K. Development Dan Thompson said.
